Kerala, a land with a coastline of over 585 km, has 17 seaports. While Cochin International seaport is the most prominent seaport in Kerala, Alappuzha Port, Neendakara Port and Kozhikkode Port are other three intermediate ports in Kerala.
Azhikkal port, Beypore port, Kannur port, Kasaragod port, Kayamkulam port, Manakkodam port, Manjeswaram port, Munambam port, Neeleswaram port, Ponnani port, Thalasserry port, Thankasserry port, Vadakara port, Valiyathura port, Vizhinjam port, are the other Kerala ports, These are very small ports and development of them are taking place.
Sea ports, with easier access to various tourist destinations in Kerala, have remained key factors in the development of tourism in the state.
